Hempstead, Nevada County FSA Finds New Home

The Hempstead and Nevada County Farm Service Agency office in Hope, Ark., has a new home. The facility recently moved to a new 13,050 square foot building that not only will house FSA staff, but also members of the Rural Development and National Resource Conservation District and the South Arkansas Field and Technical Service.

“The new facility is more accessible and easier for our producers to reach,” said Linda Newkirk, FSA state executive director. FSA currently administers programs to more than 2,000 producers in Hempstead and Nevada Counties. “This facility also will help make each of the agencies more efficient and effective in serving the varied interest groups in the area.”
