McCauley, FSA state executive director; Steve Pratt, district director; and Jimmy Jett, farm loan officer trainee.

The Cynthiana, Ky., farm loan team has been recognized for its outstanding work during fiscal year 2010.

With 136 loans made — the highest number in the state — and one of the nine loan teams in the state to meet all of its goals for the year, the group has been awarded the Kentucky Outstanding Farm Loan Team award.

Sponsored by Farm Loan Chief Mitchell Whittle and presented by State Executive Director John McCauley, the award highlights the achievements of one of several loan teams in Kentucky.

“It’s a way of recognizing both hard work and excellent service on the part of one of our farm loan teams for the previous fiscal year,” said Whittle.

The Cynthiana team — which includes Earl Reynolds, Colette Bivens and Phyllis Holleran, Sharon Meyer, Debbie Barnes and Jimmy Jett — had one of the lowest loan delinquency rates and showed low loan losses for the year. They also utilized 50.1 percent of their total loan funds for Beginning Farmer and Socially Disadvantaged applicants.
