Neighbors Pitch In to Harvest After Death of Fellow Farmer

Farmers in Powell Valley, Wyo., gathered together last week to help harvest the fields of one of their own who passed away after a short battle with cancer. “He knew he was terminal once his crop was in the ground,” said Kelly Spiering, a fellow farmer. “When one farmer hurts, we all hurt.” The group of nearly 50 farmers operated three combines and more than a dozen trucks to harvest 200 acres of Glenn French’s land.
