Tighter EPA Regulations Could Force Farmers to Control Dust Clouds

Tractor dust Farmers soon may have to control the tiny dust particles kicked up by tractors and other farm machinery. The Environmental Protection Agency is reviewing its current standards for dust, soot and other microscopic particles and is considering tougher restrictions. Supporters for tighter restrictions say they are needed to clear the air of tiny particles that could lodge in a person’s lung and cause respiratory problems.
