Former FSA Employee Receives Presidential Rank Award

Former director of the Farm Service Agency Office of Budget and Finance was recently awarded the 2009 Presidential Rank Award. Dennis Taitano — who served as director from 2006-09 and later as acting FSA administrator from January through May 2009 — received the award for developing a budget and finance organization within FSA consisting of multi-skilled people dedicated to providing advisory and reporting services. Twelve other individuals also received the award that recognizes senior executive service and senior professional members who have demonstrated exceptional performance and leadership in public service.
