USDA, Dept. of Justice Announce Second Joint Workshop on Agriculture

USDA and the Department of Justice will hold a second joint public workshop to discuss competition and regulatory issues in agriculture. The workshop — which will be held May 21 in Alabama — will focus on the poultry industry and promote dialogue among interested parties and foster learning with respect to the appropriate legal and economic analyses regarding poultry issues. This is the second of five workshops, which were first announced by Attorney General Eric Holder and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack in August 2009, and represent the first joint USDA, Department of Justice workshops ever to be held to discuss agriculture.
