The Minnesota Farmers’ Market Association (MFMA) held its spring conference last week in Shoreview, Minn., welcoming members from Minnesota and Wisconsin who came to network and exchange ideas.
MFMA was established to help represent farmers markets with a voice and assist in growing and establishing local markets.
The conference sessions provided attendees information on visual marketing, market activities that included chef’s demos and children’s activities, along with ways to further improve the local farmers market.
Staff from the Farm Service Agency answered member’s questions on how the agency can help grow their business as well as how to obtain loans for land acquisition, improving operations and disaster assistance.
