Loans Now Available for Cold Storage Facilities

An amendment to the Farm Storage Facility Loan program now allows for producers to build cold storage facilities to keep their fresh fruits and vegetables. The announcement, made today by Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, is part of the “Know Your Farmer, Know Your Food” initiative that is aimed at strengthening the connection between farmers and consumers and expanding access to healthy food for Americans.
