The 2011 Farm Service Agency County Committee elections open today, Nov. 4, with the mailing of ballots to eligible voters. All eligible voters have one month to complete the ballot and return by mail or in person to local USDA Service Centers by Dec. 5. County committee members provide a link between the agricultural community and USDA by helping to deliver FSA programs at the local level. Currently, about 7,700 county committee members serve in 2,244 FSA offices nationwide. Read more.
